It’s w-a-a-a-a-y t-o-o-o-o soon to be telling you about this new product introduced at the 2010 Shooting, Hunting & Outdoor Trade Show. There are lots of good reasons not to tell you now like because it won’t be available until fall; because it doesn’t even have an official name yet; and because we should all be focusing our collective hopes on spring and turkey hunting in an effort make this record-setting winter pass more quickly into the history books!
But even with all that stacked against me I’m going to tell you about the newest in heated insoles from ThermaCELL anyway. Yep, the same ThermaCELL folks who make the insect repelling devices and lanterns I’ve talked about in this column, on TV and in magazine articles. As far as I’m concerned ThermaCELL is what makes spring bear hunting not only comfortable, but at all possible. Same goes for early bowhunting here in Minnesota where the mosquito is the real state bird. I’ve used mine more than once in the blind on duck opener, too…
